Tues: Writing

             .Now we are going to start the first layer.
  1. Put Parchment paper on a square shaped pan.
  2. Then put your saucepan on medium to low heat.
  3. And we’re going to start by melting one and a half a cup of butter.
  4. Now that the butter is melted we have to take the saucepan off the heat.
  5. Add 1 quarter of a cup of sugar to the melted butter.
  6. one third of a cup of cocoa powder.
  7. And we are going to mix it.
  8. And now we're going to add one egg.
  9. Now we're going to whisk the egg in.
  10. Now I'm gonna pop the saucepan back on the heat.
  11. And continue to stir until the mixture thickens.
  12. Now we need to remove it from the heat.
  13. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  14. Then you need to add 200 grams of graham crackers.
  15. Add one cup of shredded coconut.
  16. Then add half a cup of chopped almonds
  17. Then what we're gonna do is pop this mixture into the bottom of the square shaped pan.
  18. Now we're gonna tip the mixture into the square pan.
  19. Now we need to flatten it using our hands.
  20. Now we're gonna put in the fridge for 1 hour
.Now we are going to start the middle layer
  1. 55g of butter
  2. beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. mix in 2 tbsp of custard powder
  4. mix in 2 cups of icing sugar.
  5. mix in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  6. mix in 2-3 Tbsp of milk.
  7. Mix in the beater until smooth.
  8. Now we have to put all of it at the top of the first layer.
  9. After we did that we have to put the pan back in the fridge for 30 minutes.
.The larst layer.
  1. So now we have water simmering in a pot and we are putting a bowl onto the pot.
  2. Then add 115g of chocolate in the bowl.
  3. And 14g of butter.
  4.  Then mix it until it's melted.
  5. Then put it all on the  square shaped pan.
  6. Then put it in the fridge for 15 minutes
And that's how you make Nanaimo bars.
